Refreshing probiotic drink with homemade soda, citrus, and mint; light, vibrant, and gut-friendly for summer enjoyment.

# Ingredient List:

→ Probiotic Base

01 - 4 cups filtered water
02 - 1/4 cup organic cane sugar
03 - 2 tablespoons water kefir grains or ginger bug
04 - 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

→ Flavoring

05 - 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
06 - 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
07 - 8 fresh mint leaves
08 - 4 thin orange slices
09 - Ice cubes to serve

# Steps:

01 - In a clean glass jar, dissolve organic cane sugar in filtered water and add water kefir grains or ginger bug along with the fresh lemon juice. Stir gently with a non-metallic spoon to combine.
02 - Cover the jar with a breathable cloth or coffee filter secured by a rubber band. Let the mixture ferment at room temperature (68–77°F) for 24 to 48 hours, or until it becomes lightly effervescent and tangy.
03 - Remove and strain out the kefir grains or ginger bug using a fine mesh strainer. Reserve or reuse cultures for future batches as desired.
04 - Pour the fermented soda base into a pitcher and mix in the fresh orange juice, lime juice, and mint leaves. Stir gently to integrate flavors.
05 - Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the prepared mocktail over the ice, and garnish each glass with a thin orange slice and extra fresh mint if desired. Serve immediately for optimal effervescence.
